Wish Upon the Moon
Men always wish to
reach the magnificent blue canvass
And then the exquisite full moon
Alas! Man succeeded time and time again,
Is there anything impossible with men?
To reach the heavens, and
to touch the farthest domes
Are the games of those enthroned.
Since time immemorial Man is awed
with this luminous serenity,
Hung in there with shimmering ethereal beauty.
In ancient times the lover promised," just give me your sweetest yes to marry me,
I will pick this aglow and will offer it to you my beloved!"
To the wonderment of the young betrothed
Believing the sweet nonsense of this one who adored.
One day man had reached this beaming artistry
And surprised that up there this celestial scenery
is pitch black void of illumination
Gone the excitement as it turns out the illuminated face ,
has been borrowing it's silvery beauty and grace
And will never outshine the one that creates its splendid reflection.
Yet, it's still magical, soothing one's soul
Taking man's breath away as it catches sight of in the night,
Hypnotizing our eyes with its bright smile,
In every child's dream mesmerizing and delightful,
Wishing to touch the face of this known enthralling beauty.

Moonlight
In the sky the moon spreads its beauty.
Behind the thin clouds, the night seems even more imposing, a magic.
He sends us his light and smiles at us. I fell so in love with it
that I sat down to write an authentic poem about it, to record what the night gave me
that too!
JOHN KARAJOLI
By the moonlight
Berlin, at the Extrablatt bar let's get lost in the dark, in the clusters of the Galaxy, in the magic of the night, embraced by old melodies
in the footsteps of tango and love. Strangers, who fell in love for one night, at a party
of the stars.

SO CHARMING
The crescent moon,
The rotund moon,
The scintillating moon,
The beautiful moon,
Appears and disappears,
At the horizon, far afar.
For a child, it’s a myth
But for the youth ....
Any time of the month,
It gives a love warmth;
The middle or old aged
Everyone adores, unbiased.
A moon-lit night scintillates
Make our musings oscillate,
In thoughts, it reverberates,
In action, it never hesitates,
What a real delight ....
So charming to every sight.

The Moon
I'm the moon, you're the sun,
Both are lovers and beloved
In the night, under a sky
We both hug and fly
Come what may, they attract me
Shines in my eyes like sunrays on dancing waves
People awake and talk with another
There they are to see.
We are loyal and faithful
Like the water and soil
We appear for some time
To beautify the plant is our goal.
Either I or the moon
Engulfing like a soul
Our physical form can be seen
But the love will pour soon.

Moonlit Muse
Oh, you moon!
For the muses, you're the boon!
I can smell your perfume alfresco.
I can behold your serene face.
I can envision your shiny teeth,
Making the celestial canopy blush.
You are ever there for us,
So we won't rush.
Millions of verses dance beneath
Your glow.
Woman, you're the mirror to
My very soul.
A solitary sentinel gleaming, oh,
Forever jocund.
Woman, you're indeed the goddess of
Every night.
See your face aglow with the solace
Of ancient quills.
We love you every time, every day,
African queen.

LOVELY MOON
In the velvet cloak of night, you reign supreme,
Like a wistful wondering eye
A silent sentinel, a tranquil dream
With a gentle glow, you cast your silver sheen,
Enchanting all beneath your serene regime
Oh lovely moon, with your tranquil face,
You watch the world with quiet grace
In your soft light, shadows dance and play,
As you guide lost souls along their way
But no longer shall it be,
Your beauty is timeless, your presence serene,
A beacon of hope in a world unseen
Upon the greyness of a million homes,
In your tranquil embrace, hearts find solace,
As they bask in your ethereal grace
Though distant, you touch us with your light,
A reminder of the infinite in the night
Oh lovely moon, in your celestial sway,
You whisper secrets only stars convey
Though the heart still be as loving,
In the vast expanse of the night's embrace,
You weave a tale of time and space
A silent witness to love's sweet tune,
Forever adored, oh lovely moon
It lands on Earth to look at me
And has released from day's embrace.

A Sufi Moon
at dawn, alone, I set the sail
the ocean, a faint hypnotic rhythm
creation's harmonious symphony
my body moved, yet my spirit slept
a drop of water, an infinite sea
at noon the sun was in its glory
"oh god in heaven, what have I done?"
the rope still tied to the mooring dock
I journeyed far, but traveled not
beyond the lengths of these earthly bonds
I now relinquish the navigation
and overboard, pass the turning wheel
surrendering to a foreign justice
a presence worthy of my veneration
to gain the freedom of a mission
of souls together in solitude
one mirror, shattered, becomes a million
reflections of an image true
a view of what cannot be seen
as night turns over, in a grave
that vision as it looks at you
the captain of this vessel, now
commanding forth the invisible wind
"safe passage" cries a human voice
an outstretched arm from measured depths
a sign of peace, and mercy's quest

Sip of Life
Come, share this sip
Of life with me
Let us bask in tranquility
Forgetting our notions
Of how all should be.
The warm Sun is free
Moonrise is nigh
Stars are scattered
Beyond the sky
We are here now, you and I.
For who can set a price on hope
From distractions and delusions,
Let us elope.
And marry ourselves unto the winds
Until our time to begin again.

Moon At Soul Mat
Moon the same, in the courtyard
Turns right and seizes me
By lean swinge of cool match
Becks to nexus hug of bygone notes
Yea, by her arty lace rooted in trekking flair.
Moon the same, in my lone land
Steps at line with her chained woo
Heeding to suit to wandering bare state of my single self
Pairing to subtle bent of hide and seek game
She tickles to few root of my unshared self.
Moon the same, in the serene part of cell site
Rises, citing pose of my lingering mate
Pats by dye of quizzical guessing
Imbues math line of criss cross roll
And drives me to track of solitary tend or to quiet coastline.
Moon the same, always shines at my hut site,
Steering creep canto of love
by matched stride.
