ANGELA KOSTA, ALBANIA / ITALY

"Moreover..."

MOREOVER...

I will love you in silence

knowing where you will find me.

I will be beyond the only companion star

witness to our madness.

You will find me beyond the MOON

she, our favorite guest, much desired.

I will be beyond the cloud

cradle of my brief happiness.

I’ll be beyond the sun

that maybe one day

he will ease my anguish.

I will stop for a long time to relive the moreover

where the wind will carry your whispers.

I will watch the water flow

and i’ll get wet from your lips.

I will find you knowing that you will be there.

And me?

I’ll be there, in the palm of your soul

standing still for fear of having become mute

vanished into thin air.

On the waves of the sea

i’ll find our breath

your smile on my mouth

your look in my tear

your beats on my heart

your fingers in my hair

your eyes on mine...

Forever!!!

"Under the City Moonlight"

Under the City Moonlight

As the city lights grow brighter,

The moonlight and starlight fade, yet

I know the moonlight always touches my shoulder.

Even in the darkest night,

Without getting lost,

I never lose my direction.

Hard iron undergoes quenching.

After the storm, the sky turns a bright blue.

Only those who have sailed the sea of patience

Can reach the beautiful land.

Calm and unchanging at every turn in life,

The moon is always there to hold my shoulders and lift me up

The moon, a gift-like presence, is always there.

Because you shined on me,

My soul was never dark.

Even if I fell, I was able to stand and walk again.

Li Kuei-hsien, Taiwan

"Five Moons"

Five Moons

May is turned out to be

a combination of five moons.

If each moon has a respective melody,

will become a moonlight sonata of the nightingale

or a fantasia likely to be or not to be, at dusk?

If each moon is incarnated from a girl,

will become a waltz in spring time

or a concerto of life and art?

If there is a dissonance tone in May,

will become a chaotic atonal song

or a scherzo of the moon falling to the ground?

May is purely a variation of the seasons,

an episode in memory.

"Day Moon"

Day Moon

Clouds dry themselves in the autumn sun

A butterfly rests on a discarded tire

A bird perches on a rearview mirror

The rustling stairs

Birds stand still

Thirsty shadows

"BIRTHDAY PRESENTS"

BIRTHDAY PRESENTS

Today is my birthday

Roses and chocolates are your presents

My poem praises our love

Written in loving purple ink just like at school

Your heart is full of love and gratitude

You bring about the shimmering sky and beautiful earth

Passionate, loving, deserted

Writing in haste just like in the military, under the moonlight.

The hesitant purple hue of crape myrtle flowers

Faithfully waiting for my love on the side of the road

Cicadas envy my rosy cheeks

They induce flamboyant flowers in bright red bloom.

Enthralled, I’m beaming

Sweet radiant sun rays looking at me

Oh our poetic love!

My diary, how many pages about you.

Our love is beautiful like a painting

Let the pink wind, white clouds, and the blue sky be our background!

My birthday in May, 2023

Ah Young Lee, Korea

"Moon Bodrae"

Moon Bodrae

Nine o'clock at night is turning to ten o'clock

Gangbuk-gu Office Intersection

The crossing waits for the traffic light

The road between Insubong Peak and Baekundae, with residual snow remaining

The pure white full moon is rising

Above Insubong’s head

The moon walks out looking fresh and stylish.

When the traffic light changed

The moon beckons me to come across

The Moon Bodrae Cafe before my eyes

My mother appeared in my dream last night

Hiding her raw, sore fingers in her dishcloth skirt

Like a dew-covered lotus leaf

Mother washing my forehead

She's like the moon in front of the door

Become a stone statue

Wait until the alpha star appears.

Roberto Marzano, Italy

"Sono un poeta romantico"

Sono un poeta romantico

Sono un poeta romantico

mi do del tu con le rondini

sotto le stelle mi dondolo

baciando il becco alle allodole.

E mi commuove la luna

fosse anche che mezza

senza denti o ubriaca

di un vago effluvio di sandalo

e ben disposta a viaggiare

fin sotto i piedi del letto

dove in un tempo imperfetto

rende brandelli i miei sguardi.

Amo i tramonti indecenti

pregni di amori ipotetici

che or se sol fosse ieri

rimpiangerei il mio domani.

Lee Hee Ju, Korea

"Dinner with the moon"

Dinner with the moon

In the tranquility of the evening,

In the stillness of the evening,

As I opened the window, I suddenly felt the presence of the moon.

While the moon ventures into the world,

This evening, my husband and children have not yet returned.

The moon, gracefully slipping through the window,

Becomes my dinner companion.

From the crescent moon to the full moon,

The moon visits houses where people dine alone.

It becomes my companion and source of comfort,

Standing beside me in its gentle glow.

Finding solace in its luminous light, I confess my loneliness,

With a heavy longing in my heart,

I open my eyes to beauty with the moon by my side.

In the deepest recesses of my heart,

When longing descends like fog,

I always invite the full moon to dinner.

The full moon steadfastly remains,

Waiting to bring solace to my weary soul.

Kang Joong-hoon, Korea

"Usu"

Usu

When the winter rain falls steadily, I write poetry

Hanging rainwater with meaning

The root of all beauty in this world

It's in tears

more painful than tears

It's in the wound

deeper than the wound

It's in your smile

A petal that smiles and lowers its head

It's in the petals

After that winter passes, I write poetry again
